Instead of setting traditional resolutions, create a bucket list for the year. This blog is the travel edition on bucket lists, and the travel edition is a list to identify everywhere you ever want to travel. It can be going to all your favorite NFL games or visiting all the southern European countries. "Traveling is easier than you think! You imagined it, daydreamed about it, envisioned it. It can be done." I'm continually looking at inspiration through my readings, social media, and trip plannings so my bucket list is a fluid document.
I have a master bucket list, and on it is to visit the Seven Wonders of the World. I've already visited four of the seven, so there's no stopping me now. My readings don't change my master list, but I usually refine my list based on new information. The key is to make sure those things on your list are still of interest to you and places you would love to visit. If you don't have a travel bucket list, I hope I've inspired you to create one. You can start by asking yourself if money wasn't an object, what would your perfect vacation look like? Whatever pops in your head, nothing is crazy or impossible, write it down. For instance, fly around the world is on my bucket list too! I've taken pen to paper and written down every aspect of this trip, torn the images out of magazines and pin images on Pinerst. Now that the details are written down, I'll keep my eyes and ears open for opportunities. Opportunities like when airlines post an error in their fare pricing, i.e., a flight from New York City to Milan for $130 roundtrip!
Another question is, where have you always wanted to go but have not yet gone? This is a trip you can plan in a few months or a year out depending on the destination. For example, I have an affinity for salsa dancing, and I'd like to get the full authentic experience, so I'm going to the "World Capital of Salsa" in Santiago de Cali.
All the goals you want to achieve and life experiences you wish to experience is a bucket list, and they can take you around the world. Like going to an Olympic Summer Games in Tokyo, experience Grand Prix weekend in Monaco, attend a J.D. Jakes Ministries | Conference, in Dallas, TX, or Ride the London Eye. "The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experiences" (Eleanor Roosevelt)."
